In a boost to the ruling Sikkim Krantikari Morcha ahead of the by-polls in the state, hundreds of SDF supporters joined the party in Gangtok on Monday.
Sikkim Chief Minister and SKM President PS Golay along with other cabinet members and MLAs were present in the mass joining programme.
By-polls are slated to be held in the three constituencies of of Gangtok, Poklok and Rumtek. While the dates for the polls are yet to be announced, the ruling party is already gearing up for the same.
The mega joining is being seen as SKM’s bid to register wins in all three constituencies. Interestingly, the SKM will also have to take on a resurgent BJP in the by-polls.
