Sabroom is an assembly constituency in Tripura. In 2018, BJP candidate Sankar roy won the seat by defeating CPIM candidate Rita Kar Majumder
Sabroom Legislative Assembly constituency is one of the 60 Legislative Assembly constituencies of Tripura state in India. It is part of South Tripura district.
In 2018, the constituency had 43, 846 electors. In 2023, the population of Paschim Sabroom is estimated to be 927 and Dakshin Sabroom is estimated to be 1,659.
BJP candidate Sankar Roy is the sitting MLA of the constituency. He defeated RITA KAR MAJUMDER of the Communist Party of India (marxist) with a margin of 2182 votes.
He is again contesting in the 2023 assembly elections from Sabroom constituency against CPIM rival Jitendra Chowdhury. Jitendra Chowdhury had won the Sabroom constituency in 2008, 2003, 1998 and 1993.
