Khowai is an Assembly constituency in Tripura. In 2018, CPI(M) candidate Nirmal Biswas won the seat by defeating BJP candidate Amit Rakshit
Khowai is one of the 60 Legislative Assembly constituencies of Tripura which is in Khowai district and is a part of East Tripura Lok Sabha constituency. Khowai is a Town and Block in West Tripura district. Total number of villages in this Block is 13. It got its name from the Khowai River because it is situated along its banks. The estimated population of Khowai Block in 2023 is 85,797.
Communist Party Of India (marxist) candidate Nirmal Biswas is the sitting MLA of the constituency. He won the 2018 Assembly elections with 20,629 votes by defeating BJP candidate Amit Rakshit with a margin of 2736 votes.
