Karbook is an assembly constituency in Tripura. In 2018, BJP candidate Burba Mohan Tripura won the seat by defeating CPIM’s Priyamani Debbarma
Karbook Legislative Assembly constituency is one of the 60 Legislative Assembly constituencies of Tripura which is part of Gomati district and is reserved for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Tribes.Karbook is a Block in South Tripura district. Bengali is the local Language here.People also speaks Kokborok language.
The tribal reserved seat became vacant,after BJP MLA Burba Mohan Tripura who won the seat in the 2018 Assembly elections resigned from the party in September 2022 and joined Tipraha Indigenous Progressive Regional Alliance (TIPRA Motha).
Burba Mohan Tripura had won the seat defeating Communist Party Of India (marxist) candidate Priyamani Debbarma with a margin of 797 votes.
