A 4-year-old boy died after he was attacked by street dogs at a housing society in Hyderabad
In a heart-wrenching incident, street dogs attacked a 4-year-old boy at a housing society in Hyderabad. The boy, who sustained serious injuries, died shortly after being taken to the hospital for treatment.
CCTV footage of the horrific incident has now emerged. In the video, the boy can be seen walking around playfully when a pack of street dogs attacks him. The boy can be seen making efforts to escape but to no avail.
According to sources, the father of the child, Gangadhar, works as a security personnel in the housing complex where the incident took place.
They said, upon hearing the child’s cry, the father rushed to the spot and took the boy to the hospital, where the doctors declared him dead during treatment.
Gangadhar moved to Hyderabad for work from Nizamabad along with his family. His son, while playing in the compound of the apartment Gangadhar was working in, was brutally attacked by street dogs on Sunday.
It is now being reported that the child was already dead when he was taken to the hospital. A case has been registered at the local police station regarding the incident.
An eyewitness, seeking anonymity, said, “I work at a nearby college as a security guard. On Sunday, I was on duty when I heard the watchmen over there screaming for help. When I rushed in, we saw that the boy had been mauled by the dogs. This is the first such incident that has taken place here.”
STREET DOGS ATTACK 2-YEAR-OLD GIRL IN SURAT
In another shocking incident, street dogs attacked a 2-year-old girl in Surat on Sunday. The toddler suffered severe injuries to her hands, legs, and stomach. She is currently admitted to the ICU ward of a local hospital, where doctors have said that the child’s lungs have been damaged due to the attack.
On February 8, another child died in Surat due to a stray dog attack.
