Shah Rukh Khan is shifting to a new location for about two years during which Mannat will undergo some renovation and get a facelift
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan (SRK) is moving out of Mannat, the place in Mumbai’s upmarket Bandra Bandstand locality that has been his home since early 2000.
The news of SRK moving out of Mannat that was built with a lot of love and care by his wife Gauri Khan, comes two months after reports said that Mumbai Police suspected that the man who stabbed actor Saif Ali Khan at his home, had earlier recced SRK’s Mannat.
But SRK is not moving out of Mannat for good. He is shifting to a new location for about two years during which Mannat will undergo some renovation and get a facelift.
Renovation work at Mannat is scheduled to begin in May and is expected to last for at least two years, a Hindustan Times report said. The project involves a long-proposed extension to the bungalow, for which Shah Rukh had to obtain court approval. As a Grade III heritage structure, Mannat’s structural modifications required special permissions.
Where is Shah Rukh Khan Moving?
Shah Rukh Khan, along with his wife Gauri Khan and children Aryan, Suhana, and AbRam, will be relocating to a luxury apartment complex in Bandra’s Pali Hill area. The building, Puja Casa, is co-owned by filmmaker Vashu Bhagnani, his son actor-filmmaker Jackky Bhagnani, and daughter Deepshikha Deshmukh.
The Khan family will occupy four floors of the building — two duplex apartments on the first, second, seventh, and eighth floors. The remaining floors are occupied by other residents, including the Bhagnani family.
Who Are Shah Rukh’s New Neighbours?
The Bhagnani family has resided at Puja Casa for years. Vashu Bhagnani and his wife live there, along with their children. Jackky Bhagnani and his wife, actor Rakul Preet Singh, also call the building home.
The apartments have been leased for three years, ensuring the Khans have ample time before returning to their revamped Mannat.
