RRR’s Oscar run looks promising as the film has been winning back-to-back nominations! On December 15, SS Rajamouli’s directorial venture won four nominations at the Hollywood Critics Association Film Awards, including Best Picture. This comes after bagging several nominations at the Golden Globes 2023 and Critics Choice Awards 2023. Many are of the opinion that RRR’s popularity could win the film one or two nominations at the Oscars 2023.

This week has been quite eventful for the RRR team. The film has been finding a prominent place in many international award nominations. On December 15, the film won four nominations at HCA Film Awards.
While SS Rajamouli won a nomination in the Best Director category, the film was nominated in three sections – Best Picture, Best Action Film and Best International Film.
SS Rajamouli’s RRR is a fictional tale written by his dad, Vijayendra Prasad. Ram Charan and Jr NTR essayed the roles of Alluri Seetharama Raju and Komaram Bheem, Telugu freedom fighters, on whom the film is based on. The period action drama also features Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran, Alison Doody, Ray Stevenson and Olivia Morris.
