U-17 Women’s World Cup 2022: Manipur upbeat

7 players from Manipur are part of Team India who will be showcasing their skills to counter their opponents.
Budding footballers in Manipur are quite excited to watch Team India play in the U-17 Woman World Cup 2022.
Notheworthy, 7 women footballers from the state are representing the nation in the mega sporting event.
Northeast Live interacted with a few emerging women footballers, who are part of the Khelo India State League Under-17 at the Khuman Lampak Astro Turf Football ground.
While speaking to Northeast Live, many of them took pledge to be a part of Team India in the future and play for the World Cup. The women footballers are also working hard to prepare themselves for playing the game at the international level.
One of the Khelo India State League under-17 player representing Manipur said ‘let us perform our best in the Khelo India state league and also let the Team India perform their best in the Women World Cup 2022.’
Meanwhile, coach of the Khelo India State League team W Tomba said that it is a matter of pride and joy that 7 players from Manipur are represting the nation in the sporting extravaganza.
