The launch event, presided over by Tripura Chief Secretary Jitendra Kumar Sinha and attended by Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Puneet Agarwal, Director General of Tripura Police Amitabh Ranjan, and other dignitaries, emphasized the collective effort of various agencies involved in the electoral process to ensure a trouble-free environment conducive to high voter turnout.

CEO Puneet Agarwal highlighted the target of surpassing the 83% voter turnout recorded in the previous Lok Sabha elections, aiming for an even higher participation rate in the upcoming 18th Lok Sabha polls.

Meanwhile, “Home Voting” for elderly and differently-abled voters will commence on April 10.

Additional central paramilitary forces which have already arrived been deployed in large numbers to oversee the electoral process.

In the lead-up to the elections, extensive efforts have been made to maintain law and order, with over 2500 flag marches and area domination patrolling conducted by CAPF and state forces during last one month.
