Tipraha Indigenous Progressive Regional Alliance or TIPRA Motha chief Pradyot Debbarma has threatened to fast unto death if the centre (Home Ministry) does not announce the name of the interlocutor to start the talks concerning the TIPRA Motha’s demand seeking ‘constitutional solution by tomorrow.
In his message to the Tiprasa people of the state, Pradyot Debbarma said, ” My dear Tiprasa people you have given much love and respect to me. I can not ditch you. If it requires me to go on a hunger strike from tomorrow till I breathe my last to make the Government of India listen to us and address our concerns I will do it.”
The TIPRA Motha chief further said that he loves Tiprasa people too and that he is ready to die for them.
” I love you all too. I am waiting. If by tomorrow no conclusion comes, I will fast unto death but will give you all something before dying,” he added.
It may be mentioned here that The Tripura royal scion’s fast unto death warning to the Centre comes after he had last week tweeted saying that Union Home Minister Amit Shah had assured him during a phone conversation that an interlocutor for the talks would be named on March 27.
