Mizoram: Woman Arrested With Heroin Worth Rs 35 Lakh in Aizawl

The apprehended individual has been identified as Tingngaihkhawmi, a 40-year-old resident of Ngur village in Champhai district, Mizoram.
Continuing with the Government’s initiative of War against Drugs, Mizoram Police have seized heroin worth approximately Rs 35 crore and arrested one person in connection with the case in Aizawl.
The contraband was recovered during an operation near the 2nd Battalion Assam Rifles campus in the heart of Aizawl conducted on Tuesday night by troopers of the Assam Rifles and the Anti-Narcotics Squad of Excise and Narcotics, Mizoram.
During the operation, the joint team recovered 50 grams of heroin and arrested a woman.
The apprehended individual has been identified as Tingngaihkhawmi, a 40-year-old resident of Ngur village in Champhai district, Mizoram.
