Mizoram Poll Results: Counting of votes today. Who will form the next Govt?

The polling officials are engaged in 13 centers across the state in 40 counting halls.
Counting of votes for the Mizoram Assembly elections has begun. Results will decide the fate of 174 candidates which includes 16 women. Tight security arrangements have been made to ensure proper law and order during the counting of votes. 4,000 counting personnel will be involved in the counting.
The polling officials are engaged in 13 centers across the state in 40 counting halls.
The big names contesting the elections include Chief Minister and MNF chief Zoramthanga who is seeking a 4th term as the Chief Minister, contesting from the Aizawl East I constituency.
Other big names include Lalduhoma, who is the opposition ZPM chief and the party’s CM candidate contesting from Serchhip seat, Mizoram Congress Chief, Lalsawta is contesting from Aizawl West III constituency.
Who will form the government?
If we look at the Exit Poll predictions, no party has a clear edge in this election. In the 40-member Mizoram Assembly the majority mark or the magic number is 21.
According to JAN KI BAAT, ZPM is expected to get 15-25 seats, MNF – 10 to 14, Congress – 5 to 9, BJP – 0 to 2 and others nil.
INDIA TV-CNX exit polls predicted a win for MNF with 14-18 seats, following close behind is ZPM with 12-16 seats, Congress predicted to bag 8-10 seats and BJP 0 to 2, same as what Jan Ki Baat has predicted.
What did ABP NEWS – C VOTER exit polls say? MNF to get 15 to 21 seats, ZPM- 12 to 18 seats, Congress 2 to 8, Zero for BJP and others.
TIMES NOW-ETG exit polls gave MNF 14-18, ZPM 10-14, Congress 9 to 13, two to BJP.

What happened in 2018?
In 2018 ruling MNF bagged 26 seats, a clean and clear majority. They bounced back from just 5 seats in 2013. Later the party had won one more seat through a by-poll.
ZPM who had contested the 2018 polls for the first time that year as Independents as they were still not registered with the Election Commission had made a mark winning 8 seats.
BJP opened its account in Mizoram winning one seat and Congress that had ruled the state for decades, managed to win just 4 seats.
A voter turnout of 80.66 percent of the total 8.52 lakh voters was recorded to decide the electoral fate of 174 candidates. Among the 11 districts of the state, Serchhip district recorded the highest voter turnout at 84.78 percent.
