Meghalaya girl found dead in a University hostel in Rajasthan

The deceased's father refused to believe that she had committed suicide and suspected foul play in the entire incident

Mystery shrouded the death of the 18-year-old girl from Meghalaya who was found dead under mysterious circumstances inside her hostel room at Mody University in Sikar, Rajasthan.

The deceased girl has been identified as Walinda Binong, a resident of Nongpoh. She was pursuing a fashion design course at the University since October 2022.

Walinda Binong was found dead on April 28.

As per reports, the University authority said that she has committed suicide.

However, the deceased’s father Rubi Binong refused to believe that she had committed suicide and suspected foul play in the entire incident.

Meanwhile, the family of the deceased girl has also filed a complaint at Nongpoh Police Station against the incident and further investigation on the matter is underway.

In the complaint, the deceased’s cousin said that the University authority had called her father and told him that she had taken poison and then hanged herself.

The police in Sikar, Rajasthan have also registered a case into the matter.
