Responding to the speculation, senior BJP leader and cabinet minister AL Hek said he has no problem with whatever the party decides

Is the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Meghalaya preparing for a cabinet reshuffle this September? Political circles in the state are abuzz with speculation over a possible cabinet berth swap between the party’s two legislators -AL Hek and Sanbor Shullai.

While there is no official document or written agreement to validate the claim, party insiders reveal the move could mirror the reshuffle strategy during the 2018–2023 tenure of the MDA-I Government.

Responding to the speculation, senior BJP leader and cabinet minister AL Hek said he has no problem with whatever the party decides and that the party decision is final to him.

“I have no problem with whatever the party decides. These things are for the party to finalise, and only the party can give a clear picture on this,” said Hek.

However, he refrained from disclosing whether any formal understanding or agreement exists between him and fellow BJP legislator Sanbor Shullai regarding the matter.
