Cement truck loses control, jumps road divider, hits Bolero on the other side of the road, kills 6

The accident took place at Sumer, in Ri Bhoi, Meghalaya. The truck was headed towards Guwahati
In a tragic road accident, six people, Fathers, Brothers and 3 Nuns belonging to the Diocese of Bongaigaon in Assam, died on the spot when a truck carrying cement lost control, jumped the road divider and hit a Bolera that was coming from the opposite side on the other side of the road. The accident took place at Sumer, in Ri Bhoi district today.
As per sources, the truck that was headed towards Guwahati from Shillong was over-speeding. The Bolero was moving towards Shillong.
The deceased has been shifted to Civil Hospital, Shillong for post- mortem.
A case of negligent driving has been registered.
