The KSO alleged that the authorities have not yet paid heed to the students body's demand for an examination centre in Churachandpur
The Kuki Students’ Organization has decided to boycott the upcoming Public Health Engineering Department examinations in Manipur, over the alleged non-responsiveness of the authority concerned in connection with the demand for an examination centre in Churachandpur.
The students body stated that on November 27 last year, it had officially communicated its concerns to the relevant department urging a review of the examination centre allocation, but it has alleged that there has been no response till date.
Expressing discontentment, the KSO stated that denying option to take the exam in Churachandpur is a direct infringement on the rights of the aspirants, who have been eagerly preparing for the PHED Examination.
“We believe that the denial of an examination centre in Churachandpur is an affront to the educational aspirations of our community, and we stand united in our decision to boycott the exam until justice is served,” the KSO stated in a press release.
The Kuki’s top student body further issued a stern advisory to all aspirants, urging them not to participate in the upcoming PHED Examination until the demands are adequately addressed.
The KSO also called upon the authorities to initiate swift action for finding a solution to the issue.
