A purported six page letter are in circulation wherein 19 state BJP legislators are supposed to have demanded removal of Biren Singh as Chief Minister.

Is there a secret revolt again against Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh by nearly 20 BJP legislators in the trouble-torn state? Two pieces of a purported six page letter is in circulation wherein 19 state BJP legislators are supposed to have demanded removal of Biren Singh as Chief Minister. The letter was claimed to have been submitted to Prime Minister Narendra Modi a few days ago.

In page 3 of the purported letter three signatures are seen, that of Speaker Satyabrata Singh, Minister Biswajit Singh and Minister Yumnam Singh.

Northeast Live could not verify the authenticity of this letter. But legislators close to Biren Singh claimed late last night that the Chief Minister has put up these two incomplete pages of the letter that is in circulation on the private WhatsApp group of Manipur MLAs. The Biren Singh loyalists in the Manipur BJP are unfazed about this while some of those who are supposed to have signed this purported letter have denied knowledge and referred to an old letter some of them had written on the law and order situation in the state.

Whatever is the truth, this leak or campaign has triggered a lot of speculations with several Delhi based news channels going full on with the so called news. CM biren Singh is in Delhi for a meeting with Nitin Gadkari and will return to Imphal on October 21.
