Their first destination will be Guwahati, where at least 500 students from the Northeast will gather for the SEIL programme.
SEIL was initiated with an aim to promote the feeling of brotherhood between youths from Northeast India and the rest of the nation.
Speaking to Northeast Live, RK Rabichandra state unit secretary of ABVP said that the students will be housed with local host families where they will be treated not as visitors but as members of the family.
This programme has helped the visiting students understand the diversity of cultures that exist in the other parts of the country.
SEIL Tour is held in two ways – outbound and inbound. The inbound SEIL Tour is for students from the rest of the country to come to the Northeast and learn about its culture, while the outbound SEIL Tour is for Northeast students travelling to other areas of the country.
