Miya museum got ABT, AQ-IS funds; reveals probe

Arrested ABT, Al Qaeda (IS) operatives in Nalbari, Tamulpur gave Rs 10000- 15000 for setting up the Miya museum.

The Assam Police has established funding linkages by radical terror groups to the Miya Parishad.

Top police officials informed that Miya Parishad President Mohar Ali had approached the operatives of Ansarullah Bangla Team, seeking financial and moral support for setting up the Miya museum.

This sensational development came to light in the statements given by ABT & Al Qaeda (Indian Sub-continent) operatives who were arrested by Assam Police from Nalbari and Tamulpur.

During interrogation, these arrested individuals revealed that the terror module even paid Rs 10000- 15000 for setting up the Miya museum.

However, identity of Mohar Ali could not be ascertained initially after receiving the inputs. It was only when the Miya Museum controversy came to light, that Mohar Ali could be traced and arrested.

Upon further probe, it was clearly established that Mohar Ali had received money from the ABT and AQ-IS operatives arrested from Nalbari and Tamulpur.
