Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma is in Dibrugarh today to take stock of the flood situation in the district. He will be visiting flood-affected areas at Khowang and Tengakhat as well.

Yesterday, CM Sarma chaired an important meeting with District Commissioners of all the districts and took stock of the status in their respective districts.

He also said that the government would compensate the affected people by August 15.
