Downtown Point Flyover To Be Inaugurated on July 6: Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday announced that the newly constructed flyover near Downtown Hospital Point in Guwahati will be officially inaugurated on July 6, 2025.
This new infrastructure project is part of the government’s broader push to improve urban mobility and reduce traffic bottlenecks in key parts of the city.
Taking to X, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said, “We are happy to announce that the new flyover near Downtown Hospital Point will be inaugurated on 6th July 2025.”
The construction of the flyover began in 2024 from Rukminigaon near the Down Town Point and will end a few metres away from the Six Mile flyover. The length of the flyover is 950 metres and it will be a four-lane flyover being built at a cost of Rs 75 crore.
