The awards will be conferred at a ceremony in Guwahati on March 30, 2025.
Former GOC-in-C Eastern Command Lt General (Retired) Rana Pratap Kalita has been honoured with Assam’s highest civilian award, Assam Baibhav.
The announcement was made by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma following a crucial cabinet meeting today.
In addition to Lt General Rana Pratap Kalita’s recognition, the State government has also announced 5 names for Assam Saurav Award, the second-highest civilian honour and 13 names of third highest civilian award of the state-Assam Gaurav Awards.
The awards will be conferred at a ceremony in Guwahati on March 30, 2025.
