A wave of shock and anger has gripped Hajo in Assam’s Kamrup district after Nur Zafar Ali, a student who had been missing for 10 days, was found murdered today.
Nur Zafar Ali, a resident of Barni village in Hajo, went missing on March 2, prompting his family and villagers to launch a desperate search.
Despite their efforts, they failed to locate him. Growing suspicious, his family filed a complaint at Hajo Police Station, alleging the involvement of a local resident identified as Saddam Hussain.

Meanwhile, police have urged residents to remain calm and allow the legal system to take its course.
Investigations are ongoing to determine the exact motive behind the murder, as interrogation of the accused continues.
