Assam Man Beheads Wife After Heated Argument

In a blood-curdling act, a man in Assam’s Cachar district beheaded his wife during a heated argument between the couple today.

The incident has been reported from Sitakund village under West Ramprasadpur in Dholai constituency.

The gruesome incident took place around 10 AM today when an argument between Ratan Kol and his wife Meena Kol spiraled into violence.

In a fit of rage, Ratan allegedly grabbed a sharp weapon and decapitated Meena killing her on the spot.

Eyewitnesses described a horrifying scene, with the accused standing over his wife’s lifeless body, holding the blood-drenched weapon. Villagers immediately informed the police.

Officer-in-Charge of Dholai Police Station, Kulendra Hajuri, reached the spot swiftly and arrested Ratan Kol.

A forensic team from Silchar and Sonai Circle Officer Maria Tanim also arrived to collect evidence.

Meena’s body was recovered and sent to Silchar Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem.

Investigation into the matter is underway.
