Come what may, the sense of patriotism among those living in the border areas of Arunachal Pradesh along the LAC with China is quite high. This can be gauged from the fact that members of the All Tawang District Students Union have made up their mind to the guard the border with China if need arises and prevent any transgression from the other side.
The All Tawang District Students Union has come out strongly condemning the action of the Chinese PLA that led to a clash with the Indian troops along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Arunachal Pradesh’s Tawang sector.
Tashi Dorjee Vice President (admin) of the All Tawang District Student Union speaking exclusively to Northeast Live said that the students body will not tolerate any such activities by the Chinese PLA in the future.
Dorjee added, “I want to send this message to the Chinese PLA that do not try to enter into the territory of Arunachal Pradesh.” The sense of patriotism is so high among the locals in Tawang which can be gauged clearly when they said, “if need arises we are ready to stand in the borders and guard it.”
And what followed after the ATDSU leader’s statement was chanting of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” slogans which clearly depicts the sense of patriotism in the hearts of those living in the frontier state bordering China.
It may be mentioned that clashes between Indian and Chinese troops broke out along the LAC in Tawang sector of Arunachal Pradesh bordering China on December 9 morning. There are areas of differing perception along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) where troops of both countries patrol the area upto their claim lines. At one point they came face to face and a physical fight broke. No arms or weapons were used and troops on both sides disengaged immetiately.
