In a heartwarming rescue operation, forest department personnel from the Mehao Wildlife Sanctuary in the Lower Dibang Valley district of Arunachal Pradesh saved a 3-month-old orphaned bear cub.
Led by Dr. Kabuk Lego, Range Forest Officer, the team responded swiftly upon receiving information about the stranded female bear cub.
The cub was initially found by a resident along the DT Road on the Tezu-Hayuliang route, who promptly alerted authorities.
After keeping it under observation at the Roing Mini Zoo, the cub was transferred to the Central Bear Rehabilitation Centre (CBRC), Seijosa, in Pakke Kessang. At CBRC, the bear cub will receive essential care and nurturing until it is capable of surviving independently in the wild.
