Arunachal govt invested Rs 19 cr in school projects: CM Khandu

Ahead of the upcoming Arunachal assembly elections, Chief Minister Pema Khandu-led BJP government has invested a significant Rs 19 crore for the upgradation and improvement of several schools and training programme for girls.
Taking to X the Chief Minister’s Office shared the list of projects where the investments have been made. It stated that the government has invested Rs 2 crore in the Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalayas Arunachal Pradesh Trust, which is an organization seeking to provide holistic education opportunities to the students of the state.
Another Rs 5 crore was spent to upgrade 125 upper primary schools under Building as Learning Aids scheme. Rs 1 crore was spent for self-defence training programmes of class 11 and 12 girl students of government schools.
A Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya was built in Dirang district at the cost of Rs 5 crore. A golden jubilee convention hall at Narottam Nagar in Tirap district and a non-residential school at the same area were constructed at a cost of Rs 5 crore and Rs 7 crore respectively.
Keeping a tab on construction of road infrastructure projects, Chief Minister Khandu reviewed the progress of the Steel Truss bridge at Sigin Colony in Daporijo.
