Nagaland CM congratulates Sudhir Chauhan for winning bronze for Nagaland at 37th National Games

Chief Minister of Nagaland, Neiphiu Rio has congratulated Taekwondo champion Sudhir Chauhan for winning a bronze medal at the ongoing 37th National Games in Goa making it the 4th medal for Nagaland.
Sudhir Chauhan won the bronze medal in the 87 Kg category of Taekwondo at the National Games on Tuesday.
He qualified for the National Games by representing Nagaland at Senior Nationals.
Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio took to X, formerly known as Twitter, and congratulated Chauhan on his achievement and his team coach, Visabiu Peseyie for his mentorship.
“Congratulations, Sudhir Chauhan on winning Bronze medal in 87kg (male) Taekwondo discipline at the #NationalGames. He qualified for the Games by representing Nagaland at Senior Nationals. I also congratulate Team Coach Visabiu Peseyie for the mentorship. I wish them more success,” CM Rio wrote on X.
Adviser to CM Rio and Secretary General of Nagaland Olympic Association, Abu Metha also congratulated Chauhan and his team coach for winning the bronze.
“Congratulations to Mr. Sudhir Chauhan for winning Bronze in the 87 Kg category of Taekwondo at the National Games in Goa making it the 4th medal for Nagaland. He qualified for the national games by representing Nagaland at the previous senior nationals. Best wishes to him. Well done to team coach Mr. Visabiu Peseyie for his dedicated commitment to the team,” Abu Metha wrote on X.
Nagaland won its first medal at the ongoing 37th National Games in the Pencak Silat discipline on October 28.
Liike Kibami, Hinokali and Avikali V. Sheqi proved their mettle by exhibiting extraordinary skills and temperament and won bronze for the state.
On October, 29, Liike Kibami secured her second medal, clinching a silver medal in the women’s tanding 50-60 kilograms competition in Tanding category in Pencak Silat at the national games.
Athletes from 28 states, and 8 Union Territories and Services Sports Control Board (SSCB) are in action at the 37th National Games, which will conclude on November 9, 2023.
