Assam: 2 minor boys drown in Barak River while bathing

The boys are identified as Sumit Hazam (15), and Samir Hazam (12) both residents of Tarapur

In a tragic incident, two boys drowned in the Barak River as they went to take a bath.

The incident took place in the Barak River at Annapurna Ghat. As per the report, the two boys went to take a bath in the Barak River at around 1 PM when suddenly one drowned. While trying to save him the other one drowned too.

The boys have been identified as Sumit Hazam (15), and Samir Hazam (12), both residents of Tarapur.

After learning about the incident the family members of the boys called State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF).

The SDRF team immediately launched a search operation after reaching the spot, but failed to recover the bodies.
