Nagaland boy who had gone missing in Manipur, found safe

Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton said that Peyao Konyak was under the influence of drugs when he had gone missing.
Peyao Konyak of Nagaland who had gone missing from Manipur on Wednesday, has been located, confirmed, Nagaland Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton.
Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton said that Konyak was under the influence of drugs when he had gone missing. He has now been located and admitted to a rehabilitation centre for the necessary care and support.
Minister Y Patton also expressed his gratitude to Manipur CM N Biren Singh and Manipur Police for their quick and effective action in ensuring his safety.
Taking to X, Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton wrote, “Had a telephonic conversation with the CM of Manipur Shri @NBirenSinghJi. It has been learnt that Shri Peyao Konyak, who was previously reported missing, has been located. It has been learnt that he had gone missing under the influence of drugs. He has been admitted to a rehabilitation center for the necessary care and support. My gratitude to Shri Biren Singh Ji and @manipur_police for the swift and effective action in ensuring his safety.”
Peyao Konyak, son of Moba Konyak, hails from Mon district in Nagaland. He was working as a labourer at Victoria Veener Mills, Yairipok, in Manipur’s Thoubal district.
Earlier it was reported that he was abducted from trouble-torn Manipur yesterday by unknown miscreants from the Victoria Veener Mills and the manager of the Mill had also filed an FIR in this regard.
