Google co-founder Sergey Brin divorces wife Nicole for her alleged affair with Elon Musk

Google’s cofounder Sergey Brin quietly divorced his wife Nicole Shanahan in May for allegedly having an affair with his long time friend and billionaire Elon Musk.
Brin had filed for divorce in January 2022, citing “irreconcilable differences” after three years of marriage.
Brin and Nicole first started dating in 2015 and eventually tied the knot in on November 11, 2018. About two weeks later, their daughter was born.
Under the terms of their divorce, Shanahan and Brin are set to split legal and physical custody of their 4-year-old daughter.
As per court paper, Shanahan, a lawyer and the entrepreneur, did not contest the divorce but did ask the court to award her spousal support.
They settled other issues including lawyer fees and division of assets in confidential arbitration.
However, the divorce was sparked by allegations of an affair between Shanahan and Musk, who was friends with Brin for years. But both Musk and Shanahan denied their alleged affair.
”Sergey and I are friends and were at a party together last night. I’ve only seen Nicole twice in three years, both times with many other people around. Nothing romantic, ” he wrote on X, on July 25, 2022, in response to a Wall Street Journal article titled ”Elon Musk’s Friendship With Sergey Brin Ruptured by Alleged Affair”.
Shanahan also denied that she’d had an extramarital relationship with Musk, calling the scandal “utterly debilitating”.
