Business Advisory Committee of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly met on Wednesday and confirmed that the autumn session of the Meghalaya Assembly

The Meghalaya Legislative Assembly‘s Business Advisory Committee (BAC) has finalized the agenda for the upcoming autumn session, set to take place from September 15 to September 22.

The Business Advisory Committee of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly met on Wednesday and confirmed that the autumn session of the Meghalaya Assembly will be held for five days, focusing on crucial matters of governance and member-driven initiatives.

The session’s schedule is as follows:
Government Business Days: The Assembly will primarily address government-related matters on September 15th, 20th, and 22nd.

Private Members’ Business Days: September 19th and 21st have been designated as days for private members’ business.

September 18, will be a holiday on the occasion of Unitarian Day.

Meghalaya Assembly Speaker, Thomas A. Sangma, said, “The Assembly will be in session from September 15 to 22. As previously mentioned, two days will be dedicated to private members’ motions and various other matters, while three days will be allocated for government business.”
