Tawang is all set to host the 4-day-long first-ever Northeast India Exposure Tour Cum Convention from August 13 to 16.
Supported by the North Eastern Council (NEC) Shillong, the program is organized under the banner of the Humanity Group in collaboration with Tribal Discovery Tours & Travels and Unplanned Events.
The program is an initiative for reinvention of tourism by rediscovering the untapped potential of the Northeast. The North East region is a treasure trove of unexplored destinations that possess immense potential to captivate tourists.

The organizer of the event said in a release that the objective of the programme is to encourage all tour operators and speakers to delve into the lesser-known areas of the North East and propose innovative strategies to attract travellers to these hidden gems.
“By rediscovering these untapped destinations, which can offer tourists unique and unforgettable experiences while uplifting the local communities,” the release said.
“Sustainable Practices Hand in Hand with Reinvention: As it seeks to reinvent tourism in the North East, it is essential that sustainability remains at the forefront of our efforts. We urge all participants to share insights on how sustainable practices can be seamlessly integrated into the reinvention process. Let us collectively brainstorm and present eco-friendly initiatives, community-based tourism models, and responsible approaches that will preserve the natural beauty and cultural heritage of the region for generations to come,” the release further stated.

A special cultural evening with the Indian Army will also be organised on the occasion of Independence Day.
A special tour for the delegates will also be arranged where they can interact with the Jawans guarding the international borders.
