The incident in question points to the recent viral video that showed Assam Rifles and state police personnel apparently engaged in a confrontation in Bishnupur's Kwakta

The Spear Corps of the Indian Army has issued a statement clarifying recent incidents from Manipur involving Central Security forces.
According to the Army, inimical elements have tried to question the role and integrity of the Central forces, especially the Assam Rifles, based on the incidents.

The incident in question points to the recent viral video that showed Assam Rifles and state police personnel apparently engaged in a confrontation in Bishnupur’s Kwakta.
The Army stated that misunderstandings do take place at the functional level but are all immediately addressed.

The Indian Army stated that two instances have emerged over the past 24 hours aimed at maligning the Assam Rifles. In the first case, the Assam Rifles Battalion acted strictly in accordance with the mandate of the Unified Headquarters for strict enforcement of buffer zone guidelines, aimed at preventing violence between the two communities.

In the second instance, the Indian Army stated that the narrative of Assam Rifles being moved out due to the confrontation with the police is not related to the incident.

It may be mentioned here that following the confrontation, Manipur Police has lodged an FIR against the Assam Rifles, accusing the paramilitary force of obstructing the police from discharging their duties.
