PM Modi took 3 months to break his silence whereas he did 7 foreign tours in three months, said APYC president

The Arunachal Pradesh Youth Congress (APYC) today staged a protest at the Congress Bhawan in Itanagar against the atrocities and the ongoing violence in Manipur.

Speaking to media, President of the APYC, Tarh Johny said, “We staged the protest seeking justice for the people of Manipur which is burning since May 3, 2023. Our solidarity is not for one single community but the whole of Manipur.”

Demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and CM N Biren Singh, APYC said that if both Central and state governments cannot handle the issue, then President’s Rule should be imposed in Manipur.

Criticising Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s first reaction on Manipur violence, President of the APYC, Tarh Johny said that the PM only spoke out after the horrifying video of a gang rape and disrobing of one of the two women who paraded naked in Manipur went viral.

Tarh said that the Prime Minister took three months to break his silence whereas he did seven foreign tours in three months.
It may be mentioned here that Manipur is on the boil since May 3 after a violent clash broke out between two ethnic groups in the state.
