Delhi police issues alert on possible clash between Kukis and Meitei’s residing in Delhi

The ongoing violence in Manipur apoears to have reached the national capital. The Delhi Police on Sunday sounded an alert in the National Capital following intelligence inputs about a possible clash between Kukis and Meiteis living in Delhi.
As per sources, the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Special Branch, Delhi, has sounded an alert to all Police Stations and District Commissioners on possible communal clashes in the National Capital between the two communities from Manipur.
The alert from the DCP stated that input has been received that the people of both communities residing in Delhi may clash and attack each other, which may create a law and order situation.
Keeping in view the sensitivity of the matter, Police Stations have been suggested to keep a close watch on the activities of the people from both the communities with proper law and order arrangements and to also monitor their social media accounts.
