Assam couple try to sell their one-month-old baby for Rs 90,000, arrested

The incident has been reported from Dibrugarh district
In a shocking incident, a couple in Assam’s Dibrugarh district allegedly tried to sell their one-month-old baby to another person for Rs. 90,000.
Based on input about the selling of the newborn, Dibrugarh Police carried out a sting operation and successfully arrested the husband-wife duo, said police.
The arrested man has been identified as–Abdul Aziz.
An investigation into the matter is underway.
