Arunachal CM Pema Khandu 2nd richest CM, Nagaland CM Rio 4th richest CM in India

Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu has emerged as the second richest Chief Minister in India with a total of Rs 163 crore assets according to poll affidavits analysed by the Association for Democratic Reforms.

Besides Arunachal Pradesh CM, Chief Ministers of the other Northeastern states have also topped the list of the richest Chief Minister.

According to the poll affidavits analysed by ADR, Nagaland CM Neiphiu Rio is the fourth wealthiest CM with assets worth Rs 46 crore.

With a total of Rs 17 crore in assets, Assam’s Himanta Biswa Sarma is the eighth-richest Chief Minister in the country.

Meghalaya CM Conrad K Sangma has emerged in 9th position in the list with Rs 15 crore assets while, Tripura CM Dr Manik Saha became the 10th richest CM with Rs 13 crore assets.

With assets of Rs 3 crore, Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang is the 21st richest CM and Mizoram CM Zoramthanga is the 22nd richest CM with Rs 3 crore assets.

Manipur CM N Biren Singh is the 27th richest with Rs 1 crore assets.

Andhra Pradesh’s Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy is the richest, with more than Rs 510 crore assets while, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is the least wealthiest CM with a little over Rs 15 lakh in assets, said the ADR report.
