Contesting its first ever general elections in Meghalaya, the Trinamool Congress has ruled out any post poll alliance with parties like-NPP and the BJP.

TMC State president, Charles Pyngrope on Thursday while reacting to a query on post poll alliance, made it clear that the party will not align either with the NPP or the BJP.

However, the party is keeping its doors open to any other like-minded party, which shares their ideologies spelled out their manifesto and their 10 pledges.

He said such parties are most welcome to be a part of a collision which can run the government but only under the condition that accountability and transparency always comes first.

It may be mentioned that TMC first entered Meghalaya in November last year and since then the party has aggressively campaigned throughout the state organising massive rallies frequently. With Meghalaya political veteran and a political heavyweight of the state Mukul Sangma in their pocket, TMC is looking confident of causing some vote damage to NPP and BJP in the upcoming polls.
