BJP President JP Nadda releases party’s election manifesto for Meghalaya: inter-state boundary issue, corruption, scientific mining tops agenda

BJP national president JP Nadda today released the party manifesto for poll bound Meghalaya.
Among the big promises made by the Saffron Party include, resolving border issue, implementation of scientific mining, establishment of a Special Task Force to investigate cases of corruption, implementation of the 7th Pay Commission, increasing the amount provided to the farmers under the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi, free education to girls besides others.
Speaking in terms of illegal mining, JP Nadda assured,”We will construct a Task Force to check the illegal mining and we will promote scientific mining.”
JP Nadda also maintained that the Centre is clear in it’s intentions to resolve the inter-state boundary issue between Assam and Meghalaya.
Nadda assured,”In cordination and conjunction with the central government we will try to resolve the Meghalaya and the Assam border issue and establish permanent outposts. You see we believe in dialogue, it’s not Bharat Pakistan, but it is Assam and Meghalaya. So through dialogue we will try to resolve all the border issues and permanent outposts (BOPs) will be established.”
Meanwhile, JP Nadda also sent out a clear and strong message to wipe out corruption from the state. In this context he said, “We will establish a Special task Force under a retired Supreme court judge to investigate all cases of corruption.”
At the onset, JP Nadda while reiterating about BJP’s committment to wipe out corruption and usher development, pointed out that the progress of the state has been hindered due to prevalent corruption.
Nadda said, “There is competition among the Northeastern States for development, and Meghalaya also is trying to cope-up with it. Notably, here, corruption has been an issue that has been a hindrance in the development of the state.”
While higlighting about the Centre’s clear intention to ensure welfare of all, Nadda assured that the 7th Pay Commission will be implemented if his party forms the government. This indeed is a big message for the government employees.
Nadda said,”We will implement the 7th Pay Commission in Meghalaya and the salaries of the goverment employees will be disbursed in time.”
In terms of empowering the women, the BJP national president promised,”We will give a bond of Rs 50,000 on the birth of a girl child, and provide free education to girls from kindergarten to post-graduation.”
“We will also launch a support scheme of financial assistance of Rs 24,000 annually to dependant widows and single mothers to empower them,” Nadda added.
In terms of empowering the youth, the BJP national president also made a key announcement. He said, “Special Economic Zones will be established for the empowerment of youth and many industrial units will be established therein to give a fillip to employment opportunities.”
He further said,”To empwer the youths we will establish Meghalaya Combined Recruitment Commission to expedite for filling of vacancies across all departments.”
Nadda added “We need a Strong Meghalaya, and for a Strong Meghalaya, we need a Strong BJP.”
Not only this, JP Nadda also highlighted about BJP’s plans to improve the health infrastructure of the state and maintained that new medical colleges will be established in the state soon.
“We will establish medical colleges in different regions of Meghalaya. Prime Minister Modi has given emphasis to education and especially medical education and we have decided that there must be a medical college under every Lok Sabha seat . We will go forward in that direction.”
