Dhanpur is an assembly constituency in Tripura. In 2018, CPI(M) candidate Manik Sarkar won the seat by defeating BJP's Pratima Bhoumik with a margin of 5441 votes.
Dhanpur is one of the 60 Legislative Assembly constituencies of Tripura. It is in Sipahijala district and is also part of West Tripura Lok Sabha constituency.
In 2018, the constituency had total 43,812 electors. The total population in 2023 is etimated to be 238,087.
In 2018, Manik Sarkar of the Communist Party Of India (marxist) won the seat by defeating Pratima Bhowmik of the Bharatiya Janata Party with a margin of 5441 votes.
The current MLA is Manik Sarkar of the Communist Party of India (Marxist). Although Manik Sarkar is two time MLA of Dhanpur constituency, he will not be contesting in 2023.
