Tripura BJP gears up for 2023. Amid speculations of Opposition trying to unite against BJP, the Saffron Party is confident of winning the poll battle.
Former rebel leader of Tripura Daniel Borak along with 29 others have joined the BJP. This can be seen as a shot in arm for the Saffron Party especially ahead of the 2023 assembly elections.
But what prompted the ex-rebel leader to join the BJP? Revealing about this, Daniel Borak said that he was highly inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and Chief Minister Manik Saha, as he referred to the welfare push made by the government for the tribals.
Daniel a former leader of the banned NLFT militant group informed that he had surrendered in the year 2004 and has been working for a NGO – Tripura United Indigenous Returnees People Council (TUIRPC) that works for the welfare of the returnees, surrendered militants, collaborators and the family members.
Meanwhile, Tripura BJP President Rajib Bhattacharjee exuded confidence that his party will sail through in the 2023 assembly election. Bhattacharjee said that party workers are high in morale and are ready to fight and win the poll battle despite speculations being rife that the opposition is trying to unite for a joint fight against the BJP.
