SIC arrests 4 more in APPSC paper leak scam, total 31 arrested so far

The Special Investigation Cell (SIC) of Arunachal Pradesh Police arrested four more government officials in connection with APPSC paper leak scam

The Special Investigation Cell (SIC) of Arunachal Pradesh Police has arrested four more government officials in connection with their alleged involvement in the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) paper leak case.

The arrested persons have been identified as 29-year-old Tobom Gamoh, an Assistant Engineer of Public Works Department, 34-year-old Ponpaul Ering, a Junior Assistant of Rural Works Department, 33-year-old Ponpayej Ering, a Public Health Engineering Department, and 55-year-old Taneng Gamoh, Food and Agriculture Department, Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh.

With these two arrests the total number of arrests has gone up to 31.

Late last week, the SIC arrested two person identified identified as 32-year-old Golly Ketan, a Assistant Engineer of Public Works Department and 29-year-old Goy Ketan, a Assistant Engineer of the Department of Urban Development & Housing, Arunachal Pradesh.

It is to be mentioned that the AE (civil) question paper leak case has been handed over to the CBI. The SIC is investigating all the other cases based on several FIRs filed by the aggrieved aspirants.
The SIC is investigating cases since 2014 related to the paper leak case.

Meanwhile, unhappy with the progress and the manner in which the investigation into the APPSC paper leak scam is being conducted, as many as 90 organisations, parents, students and activists participated in a rally called the Mass Referendum Rally to protest the APPSC paper leak scam that has put hundreds of candidates and aspirants’ future at stake.
