TIPRA MOTHA Chief Pradyot Kishore Debbarma came out all guns blazing against the govt on the settlement of Bru refugees.

TIPRA MOTHA chief Pradyot Kishore Debbarma today launched a scathing attack on the government over the settlement of the Bru refugees. Refuting claims made by the government, the TIPRA MOTHA chief said that people have never opposed the settlement of Bru refugees.

Pradyot said that the people have taken it upon themself to rehabilitate the Bru refugees in certain areas. However, the people are against the settlement of Bru refugees in areas under rubber cultivation since a lot of livelihood is dependent on it, he informed.

According to the TIPRA MOTHA chief the government is trying to create divisions within the tribal society by going against the people’s decisions and settle the Bru refugees in areas under rubber cultivation.

Meanwhile, Pradyot Kishore Debbarma informed that he will be leaving for New Delhi on November 12. The purpose of his visit will be to file a case in the Supreme Court on behalf of the 10323 sacked teachers.

Debbarma clearly stated he is helping the teachers personnally and that there is no other motive behind this. The TIPRA MOTHA chief added that if the jobs of the teachers are restored, than it will go a long way in spreading education in the rural areas.

According to Debbarma the rural areas are facing crisis of teachers.
