Rajnath Singh set to begin two-day long visit to A’chal

And on September 30, the Raksha Mantri will be visiting Sela and reviewing the progress of the work for the crucial Sela tunnel.

Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh is undertaking his two-day-long visit to Arunachal Pradesh today.
Earlier today, Rajnath Singh departed for Arunachal Pradesh from Dibrugarh earlier today.

The Raksha Mantri’s visit to the frontier state comes at a time when there are frequent reports of massive infrastructure build-up in China near the Line of Actual Control.

The Raksha Mantri is visiting Anini today and is being accompanied by Army Chief General Manoj Pande, Lieutenant General Rana Pratap Kalita, and other top officials.

As per inputs, Rajanth Singh will visit some of the forward posts close to the LAC at the Indo-China border today. Singh will get first-hand input on operational preparedness and interact with the troops.

Later today, the Raksha Mantri will be interacting with members of a second religious’ expedition to Athu Popu, an annual trek of the local Idu Mishmi tribe. The religious expedition is being facilitated by the army as per their outreach and continued effort towards supporting the locals and developing tourism.

And on September 30, the Raksha Mantri will be visiting Sela and reviewing the progress of the work for the crucial Sela tunnel.

Notably, the Raksha Mantri will be concluding his two-day-long visit on September 30 and will head back to New Delhi from Tezpur in Assam.

Noteworthy here is that the Raksha Mantri arrived in Assam’s Dibrugarh yesterday where he was welcomed by minister Atul Bora and Dibrugarh MLA Prasanta Phookan.

Upon his arrival yesterday, Rajnath Singh was taken to the headquarters of the ‘2 mountain division’ in Dinjan. He was accompanied by Border Roads Organisation director general Lieutenant General Rajeev Chaudhary.

The Raksha Mantri was briefed by the Corps Commander of the 3 Corps at Dinjan on operational preparedness, infrastructure build-up, and various other critical issues.
