Assam govt distributes over 10K appointment letters as part of its 1 lakh job promise

The Assam government today distributed appointment letters to 11,236 recruits in as many as 24 government departments as part of its commitment to provide govt jobs to 1 lakh youth
The Assam government today distributed appointment letters to 11,236 recruits in as many as 24 government departments as part of its commitment to provide govt jobs to 1 lakh youth in the state by this year.
The appointment latters were handed out by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma at a mega letter distribution ceremony in Khanapara, Guwahati.
Out of 11,236, a total of 4,717 appointment letters have been given in the education department.
Moreover, a total of 712 assistant professors in different colleges have also been handed their appointment letters.

The entire recruitment process was carried out purely on merit and in a transparent manner, said CM Sarma.
“Recruitment process for filling up 26,000 Class III & IV posts has already started and advertisement for 10,000 more posts will be published soon & steps will be taken for self-employment of 2 lakh youth. Urge the new recruits to work with dedication & help in fighting corruption,” said CM Sarma on Twitter.
