Border issue: Major clash breaks out in Assam-Arunachal border

Noteworthy here is that the spot of Kesa Kathoni is a disputed site between both the states.

A major clash broke out at the border between Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.

The incident happened at Kesa Kathoni in Jayrampur where the regional committees from both states looking into the inter-state border dispute had visited earlier in the day.

Reportedly after the committees from both states departed, some heated argument broke out between people from both sides which led to the major scuffle.

Police were present at the spot and tried to keep the situation under control and not let it get out of hand.

Noteworthy here is that the regional committee from the Assam side was headed by cabinet minister Jayanta Malla Baruah.

Reportedly, a few people have been injured in the incident. Noteworthy here is that the spot of Kesa Kathoni is a disputed site between both the states.
