Amid the row over pre-poll violence in the state Chief Minister N Biren Singh has blamed the opposition for recent incidents. Despite the concerns raised by NPP, CM N Biren Singh, while speaking exclusively to Northeast Live, maintained that there is no serious law and order situation in the state. Biren Singh said that those feeling insecure with the BJP’s popularity are resorting to violence and allegations.

The Manipur Chief Minister added that the Election Commission is monitoring everything and that there will be no further law and order situation.

It may be mentioned that NPP and BJP candidates from the Andro Assembly seat engaged in a blame game yesterday accusing each other of instigating violence. While NPP candidate L Sanjoy Singh accused rival BJP candidate T Shyamkumar of orchestrating the attack on his father, the latter accused the NPP’s candidate’s security personnel of shooting at his driver.
