Tripura’s Former Health Minister Sudip Roy Barman along with another rebel MLA Ashish Saha after a meeting with some supporters in West Tripura district indicated that their decision on whether or not to continue with the BJP will be let known by early February.

Not only this the two leaders lashed out at the Biplab Deb-led government of misrule and alleged that a suffocating atmosphere was prevalent in the state under the current ruling dispensation.

Sudip Roy Barman was particularly critical of the current government stating that people have lost the right to expression and protest under the current CM. Roy Barman said that he would convey the decision on his political future soon.

Meanwhile, rebel BJP MLA Asish Das said that the decision on the future course of action will be taken after discussion with supporters.

It may be mentioned that this is the first time that Roy Barman has openly indicated that he might consider leaving the BJP if things do not work out.
