The Budget Session of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly concluded on Friday with the passing of a deficit budget of Rs 1,570 crore for the financial year ending March 31, 2022.
The Budget Session of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly concluded on Friday with the passing of a deficit budget of Rs 1,570 crore for the financial year ending March 31, 2022.
Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma, who also handles Finance portfolio, moved the Meghalaya Appropriation (No. III) Bill, 2021, to authorise payment and appropriation of certain sums from the consolidated fund of Meghalaya for the financial year 2021-2022.
Other bills under different heads were also passed on the last day of the Budget Session which also includes the Meghalaya Local Fund (Audit) Bill, 2021 and Meghalaya Lokayukta (Amendment) Bill, 2021.
The Budget Session concluded today after the Speaker adjourned the House sine-die. (News On Air)
